We created one brand-new 80's flavored synthwave song & video every Friday in August of 2018 from San Jose indie rapper, Lucy Camp. All photography, packaging design and music production by Peter Anthony Red. The aim was to fuse the 80's sound revitalized by more recent pop culture gems like Nicholas Refn's Drive and Netflix's Stranger Things - with an edgier Hip Hop aesthetic.

The album cover for Summer Camp was commissioned by Pedro Tapa. 100 Cassette copues were created for the project to drive home it's retro nature. Pastels, flowers, 80s style script fonts and lo-fi feels were the vibe here. A promotional video to show the tactile nature of physical media to Lucy Camp's younger-skewing fans was created to encourage them to pick up this collectible.
Whereas I normally focus on the video aspects of my shoots, I pulled double duty for photography on this project, which was a nice challenge and a change of pace.
Four music videos were created in tandem with the project, which each song being written and produced the week of. Needless to say, it was a massive undertaking.
