Polyoptics: The Formation of Polymer is a full-length feature documentary that was created during the recording of Tonedeff's multi-part second LP, Polymer.
11 years after his debut LP, a divorce and a battle with crippling anxiety, Polyoptics chronicles the artist's process and offers a deep dive into the formative experiences behind the songs. Interviews with indie-rap mainstays like Louis Logic, CunninLynguists & J-Zone add depth to the narrative, while 8 music videos were created to add emphasis to each song segment.
A soundtrack was also created in tandem with the release, comprised of original compositions and alternate instrumental versions of album tracks that were used as the soundbeds during the film.
