Below is an assortment of assets from my time as creative director for this online panel acquisition site based on television trivia. Along with the creation of the site's mascot, Telly, I directed and generated hundreds of banner ads (yes, hundreds), direct to panel emails, multiple mobile apps and landing pages all tasked with bringing in and retaining members.
After clicking one of our acquisition creatives, users would would be given a quick animated tutorial on our landing page, which then funneled them through the sign-up process and into a trivia game as quickly as possible.
ACQUISITION CREATIVE
We established a bright, vibrant mixed-media collage look to ground the Telly character in quasi-real yet outlandish situations. Depending on the needs of our panel managers, we'd skew the messaging. NOTE: during my run as creative director, we averaged a CTR of around 2%, which is outlandishly high for banners.
MOBILE APP (PHONE & TABLET)
The development of the RewardTV mobile app proved to be a formidable task, as there were multiple forms of question-types (ie. multiple choice, drop downs, radials, questionnaires, etc) which all needed to be reformatted to for a vertical scroll experience. Once the kinks were ironed out, we experienced a massive surge in play time.
TELLY
The RTV Mascot, "Telly" was based on the old school tube-tv set that was inside of the original RewardTV logo. He was then anthropomorphized with toon gloves and given a bunch of silly hats for emphasis.
